Affordable Steering Improvement and Flashy Styling
If you are a sports car enthusiast and own a Nissan 350Z, you know how important it is to have a smooth and stable ride. However, sometimes you might encounter a bump steer, which can affect your driving experience. Fortunately, there are reliable solutions out there, such as installing high-quality SPL Parts tie rod ends and stretched tires.
We recently had a customer come to us who had a 350Z that looked like it came straight out of Fast & Furious. His concern was with a bump steer issue. Due to his car's lower ride height and stiff suspension, he was experiencing instability and a wobbly drive, especially when hitting pot holes or small bumps in the road. After a thorough inspection, we recommended the installation of SPL Parts tie rod ends.
What's so Great About These Tie Rod Ends?
"SPL Parts is a renowned brand in the automotive industry that offers top-of-the-line suspension products. Their tie rod ends are engineered for maximum durability and performance.
Our SPL Front Tie Rod Ends (TRE) allow the tie rod end pivot to be relocated, which will correct bump steer resulting from modified caster or lower arm geometry, thus reducing lap times."

Product Details:
Precision CNC machined 9310 Alloy shanks with 190ksi tensile strength are utilized to handle the abuse of racing and drifting.
The front tie rod ends also feature stainless steel spacers and 2024-T351 Aluminum turnbuckles for strength and lightweight advantages, and huge 3/4 Teflon lined FK High Misalignment Bearings to prevent the tie rod end binding on lowered cars.
Made in the USA.
By replacing the stock TREs with SPL Parts, our customer's Nissan 350Z was able to eliminate the bump steer issue and have a smoother drive.
To further enhance the car's Fast & Furious styling, we installed a set of Nitto Neo Gen 225/35/20 up front and Nitto Motivo 255/35/20 in the rear. Stretched tires have gained popularity in recent years among car enthusiasts. They offer a unique look and improved handling when installed correctly. By reducing the tire's sidewall height, stretched tires create a wider contact patch, giving the car more stability and better handling. Of course there's the other side of the crowd which think they look hideous, oh well, to each their own.
Items Used
Overall, the installation of SPL Parts TREs and stretched tires made a significant difference in our customer's driving experience, at least that's what he says. The key to installing the TREs correctly is to make sure they're parallel to the ground when the vehicle is fully on the ground. This will ensure there is no binding within the joint. We ensured that the installation was done correctly, and the customer left satisfied with the results.
