AMS Red Alpha Heat Exchanger Installation on a 2020 Infiniti Q50 3t

Does your Infiniti Q50 need more power?

You're in luck! Today we installed a AMS Red Alpha Heat Exchanger for the Infiniti Q50 3 liter turbo. This bad boy will provide a significantly cooler intake air temperature charge to give your vehicle power gains with minimal effort!

What is the AMS Red Alpha Heat Exchanger?

The Infiniti Q50 is a top-of-the-line luxury sports sedan that boasts impressive performance capabilities. However, one area where it can fall short is its cooling system. That's where the Heat Exchanger comes in. It is an upgraded cooling solution for the Infiniti Q50. It offers superior heat dissipation with a larger surface area than the stock heat exchanger, resulting in improved turbocharger performance and therefore engine performance and reliability. It's easy to install and is constructed from high-quality materials for long-lasting durability. If you're looking for a quick and effective way to upgrade your Infiniti Q50's cooling system, this is a smart choice.

The installation process for this heat exhcanger went quite smoothly, thanks to the straightforward instructions outlined in the installation guide from AMS.  Also because of this there were no F-Bombs or bloody knuckles during the installation, lol.  However, it's important to note that this particular vehicle had been involved in a front-end collision and as a result, certain parts holding it together were different from those found on a regular Q50 front end. This necessitated some extra attention to detail and customization in order to ensure a secure and effective installation of the heat exchanger. Nevertheless, the end result was a job well done.

C.A.R.B. Exemption!

Believe it or not this product is C.A.R.B. exempt! How cool is that?!  In the above pictures you can see it comes with a sticker which notes the Executive Order number.

"This product is available for sale and use on emissions-controlled vehicles within the state of California and subsequently any US states which have adopted the same or lower emissions standards, when used in accordance with our application guide, because it has a California Air Resources Board (CARB) Executive Order (EO) number. International users outside of the United States should act in accordance with their local laws and regulations."

These days it's hard to find any sort of power increase addon that is C.A.R.B. exempt. From intakes to exhausts and tunes it seems like nothing is allowed in California. Although due to the nature of this heat exchanger you can see why it'd be much easier for it to be allowed here in California. I guess you can say it's a win win result!  What's even more appealing is this heat exchanger is rebranded by Infiniti themselves and sold at their dealerships!
